Dr. Ruijin Yao, M.D., Ph.D., graduated from Fujian Medical University in China in 1982, obtained her Master Degree in 1986, and her PhD degree from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan in 1991. After she completed her residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Montefiore Medical Center, the University Hospital for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Dr. Yao continued to work as an attending physician/Assistant professor in the same academic residency training program and the same hospital for four years. Currently, she is an attending physician of Adventist Rehabilitation Hospital of Maryland, Rockville, Maryland. Dr. Yao is extremely dedicated to the patient care with her extensive knowledge, experiences and skills in diagnosing, electrodiagnosis, pain management, and interventional procedures of spine and sports medicine, acute and chronic pain syndrome, musculoskeletal disorders and neurological diseases.
